Representing the universe in microcosm in the tradition-steeped artform of wayang kulit or shadow puppet theatre, perhaps no prop is considered more important than the fan-shaped pohon beringin or Tree of Life. It appears at the beginning of a performance to awaken the cosmos in which the story unfolds, and returns at the end, bringing the tale to its conclusion.

Fine pewter framed in wood, against a bronze-hued composite resin backdrop of songket brocade motifs.

Included is a 2.5cm x 12.5cm engraving plate for personalisation.
