Gilt in 24K gold, this accessory’s elegant form is based an 18th century inkstone carved in the shape of the headpiece of a ruyi, a ceremonial sceptre which represents the fulfilment of wishes. The cloud shape itself is a stylised interpretation of the lingzhi, plant of immortality. Supplied with a leather cord to wear around the neck, as well as a ball chain to use as a key fob or to decorate a bag.
Based on a Songhua inkstone in the shape of a ruyi head; Qing dynasty, Qianlong reign (1736 – 1795)
