Malaysia has welcomed traders and settlers from near and far for millennia. Whilst culturally a melting pot largely of regional Southeast Asian ingredients, it contains more than a liberal dash of Hindu, Buddhist and Confucian seasoning from the great civilisations of the Indian subcontinent and the Chinese mainland. The result to this day; the everyday Malaysian embrace and celebration of a diverse yet shared warisan or heritage.
