Unmistakable in inspiration and undeniably contemporary, Royal Selangor’s design for this new zodiac cycle is driven by its origin myth of the Great Race. Distinctive motifs of stylised waves, rocks and clouds from the hem of imperial dragon robes allude to the Jade Emperor and the myth’s important river crossing, whilst circular and rectilinear forms reference the Chinese concept of heaven and earth.
